Dilapidated

Dilapidated, a movie Slim Productions have created that follows the propagandist tradition form of documentary film. Meaning it had the explicit purpose of persuading an audience of a point. Filming of Dilapidated took place during the production of Winter Wonderettes. It then premiered at SlimDance movie festival May 27, 2006 right here in the CCS theater.

A note from the director:

No offense was meant by the film "Dilapidated". My intentions were not to be one-sided or demeaning. In fact, I intend to make a 2nd film and possibly 3rd film to view the progress of the organization. The purpose was to cause the organization to promote progress by causing a bit of a stir. By the looks of it, I have succeeded at least partially. I am as much of a CCS promoter and supporter as anyone. I have grown up with the organization and love the fact that we improve with every show. That is why it pains me to see the front door left unlocked, which is how the film was initiated. Initially, this was meant to be a "mockmentary", but it turned into a film for progress. I apologize if it came off one-sided. Truthfully, this was not the intention as aforementioned. I do mention the improvements within the film, such as the lobby, doors, and the new building/dressing room in the back. I gave board members the opportunity to speak out with interviews. Those who question my motivations should remember that your group is here to promote the arts.
