Slim Productions competed and completed their 7th 48 Hour Film Project.  This year the skys were the limit with the genre Super Hero movie.  Our latest film Anna's Amulet will premiere tomorrow at the Tivoli theater in St. Louis.  More details below

Over the next week we will be receiving all of the films. As they come in, we will check paperwork and then digitize and convert all of the films so they will be ready to go in our on-line judge's screening room. Once all of the films have been digitized, we will have our Round 1 Judges (30 Film & Video Professionals from across the world) watch and rate all of the films. Each film will be seen and rated by 4 different judges. Then the top 15 films from that phase will be given to our Round 2 Judges. At the same time, the top 15 films will be available for viewing and voting by the public in our on-line  screening room.

 

The Round 2 Judges will determine the Grand Prize Winner and the on-line voting will determine the Audience Award Winner. Both winning films will screen with the 48 Hour Film Project City Winners at Filmapalooza in April at the Miami International Film Festival. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $1,000 and the Audience Award Winner will receive $500. (Hopefully to be used for travel to the screening to accept their award!)

 

We hope to have the top 15 films up on the website for voting by the end of November. The judging process is the most difficult and labor intensive part of this competition, but we'll do our best to get the films on the site as soon as we can. The two big winners will hopefully be announced by the end of the year. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
